Louizos Symeonidis began his journey into the world of artisanal ice cream in the early 90s, while living and working in Germany. He learned all about traditional ice-cream making. Years later, in 2023, he opened his store “Vanilla Gelateria” in the heart of Thessaloniki, Greece.
Over the past ten years, Louizos has imagined new flavors, developing combinations that surprise and delight his loyal customers. He experiments boldly with spices and uses only the finest ingredients. His sorbets blend fresh seasonal fruits (and vegetables) selected with care. The ice cream maker draws inspiration from his visits to local farmers’ markets and enriching conversations with the chefs and epicureans he meets.
